I have wanted to do this for a long time, never really sure on exactly what I wanted to say but knowing that my voice wanted to scream and sing. I have been on a journey of healing the wounds that have inhibited my expression, and have been waiting for the time when I became “perfect” to start sharing.
Yet, as I observe the world transform before my eyes, and observe the internal transformations that have taken place over the last 7 years of my journey in recovering my Self, I have come to understand one truth - healing can not remain an intellectual and individual exercise. Healing is as much about agency as it is about accepting. I can’t wait to be perfect to share. I am who I am where I am, and ya know, as I look at it more closely, more gracefully, it’s not all that bad.
So this is me. Coming out of my cancerian shell. Here in this lil cyber digital space will live my musing, ideas, experiences, critiques, and stories about being alive, liberating our minds, and living in our bodies.
I offer this to you in response to a sense of urgency that is racing across the planet. We know things aren’t working, the systems aren’t serving us, and the planet itself can only tolerate so much abuse before she takes matters into her own hands and self-destructs.
But we’re also forgetting our individual and collective capacities. If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that we need each other. We were never meant to do this alone.
No one is coming to save us except each other.
We have the opportunity - no, the responsibility - to participate in the worldmaking that is required of us in this fertile moment. If we don’t take responsibility for this task, someone else will, and you may not like the world they create for you.
I invite you on this journey with me, a tender transformation of the mind, so that we may live from the heart and body and rebuild our communities to be spaces of celebration of the comedy of life.
