The Revolution is Telepathic

Have you felt it? The stirrings of a revolution simmering to the conscious surface. Days before Kendrick’s performance, I was texting all the homies. The revolution is telepathic. I asked my friend Josh if we could film up a visual with Gil Scott Heron’s track, “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” in the background. By Sunday, Kendrick (Gemini Sun, I’m a Gemini Rising) was on that Superbowl stage, looking America in the eye saying, The revolution is about to be televised. You picked the right time but the wrronnnnnng guy.

When Kendrick said it’s about to be televised, he was proclaiming loud and clear that you abouta see someone make their voice clear about where they stand. What they value. There is no neutrality in this game.

Telepathic. Televised. Tele - operating over a distance. There is a change in consciousness occurring across the planet, where people are waking up to the ways we can communicate over distances through alternative means. We can see the shift and curiosity; in January, Joe Rogan’s podcast was eclipsed by The Telepathy Tapes, a show exploring documented cases of non-speakers with autism telepathically communicating with their family members, as the most downloaded podcast on Spotify. It’s currently number 4 on the podcast charts.

You can be skeptical, yes. And you can also inquire into the possibility. The possibility that the internet is a prototype of a model that naturally exists.

Inspired by this inquiry, and a strange convergence of dreams shared across multiple people throughout the fall of 2016, I began conducting dream research to examine if there were in fact, shared spaces and locations in the astral world, as there are here in the waking world. I collected dreams from the courageous and began identifying common locales appearing in the dreams of strangers. Some standouts were a glass house on a black sand beach. The Ancient Egyptian exhibit at Brooklyn Musem.

The inquiry evolved into a dream group of 8 women. The question - where do we go at night, and do we go together? - guided us as we shared our intimate, wonky, hilarious, spooky dreams. Instances began to occur where people would have similar dreams, set in the same locations, but from different vantage points.

How is this happening? A hypothesis began to emerge. The dreams in which I shared with others, where we would experience the same dream from different vantage points, were with people I loved. Deeply. The hypothesis? Love is the force that binds. Love is the force that allows us to connect over space and time.

I stopped the dream research in 2019. Things were getting weird, too weird. And I had no idea what I was doing or why. And then - the pandemic started.

Remember when we were all in lockdown, and in a matter of a year, the air, the waters, and the animals, all dramatically improved? Even us. With the shut down of commercial activity, we finally got the space to explore what moves us internally. We got to do basic human shit like cooking, dancing, singing, and gardening.

So when Gil Scott-Heron says the revolution will not be televised, he’s saying that it won’t be sponsored by Target. It won’t be handed to you. You must go in and get it.

This is a revolution of love and empathy. And not love in the romantic sense. Love as the physical force, the unseen bindings between all things. The electric and magnetic force that allows us to connect throughout space and time.

We’ll hear it and we’ll see it. We’ll feel it. It didn’t start this Aquarius season - its been brewing in the bellies of our lineages throughout this civilization.

We can all feel the fire coming from the earth’s core. With this fire, we can either create or destroy.

This moment in our civilization calls for both. A destruction of the old, and a creation of the new.

It is our duty to dream the new world into creation. And this requires you - YOU - to dream your part. Dream from your heart. If we can learn anything from Trump and Elon Musk, it is that one can materialize their visions and ideas and dramatically alter the course of reality. This power is not reserved for them. We all have it, and while we may not be able to see the impact of our thought and action on the same dimensional level as Elon Musk, rest assured, that every thought and feeling ripples through the great oceanic web we are a part of.

We are a part of each other. Every cell in our body has consciousness, and each of us has consciousness in this great big body we are a part of - the body of Earth. We as a whole - all the humans, plants, the flowers, the animals, the bacteria, the mountains, the rivers - make up this thing called Earth. And we must become aware of the ways we are all intricately connected. Our fate on this planet depends on it.

This is no doomsday. Nah. This is the beginning of the universal orchestra, where everyone plays their note, everyone plays their part, and we harmonize. This ain’t pop. It’s jazz.
